Eid al- Adha - Feist of the Sacrifice

Eid al-Adha also known as the Feist of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival, Kurban Bayrami is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all over the world. This holiday is celebrated to honour the willingness of the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his young son Ismail as an act of submission to Allah's (God) command and his son's acceptance to being sacrificed, before Allah intervened to provide Ibrahim (Abraham) with a lamb to sacrifice instead. So we have a nine days long holiday now and I spontaneously decided to make a short trip to Ankara-Konya-Kulu and then back to Istanbul. Ankara was the first stop, I decided to visit my cousins that had no idea of me coming so it was fun surprising them. So I have now been in Ankara for two days, as you all know Ankara is the capital city of Turkey. This city is famous for its shopping malls, so we spent our first day in a very huge shopping mall called Anakamall. I am now leaving from Ankara and I am on my way to Konya, I am for the first time taking the so called "fast train" from Ankara to Konya. Feels really comfy. You will see pictures from Ankamall and candy pictures for the preparation of this fiest. You will also see pictures of a very famous park in Ankara (Genclik parki) on our way to the train station. I loved the park, the trees and the reflection of the water gave me the chance to take great pictures. Bye Ankara, next Konya!
