Ivriz Mountain (Konya, Eregli)

Time to see som beauties of Konya which is a city in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. It is the seventh most populous city in Turkey. The city is also famous for the Mevlana museum. Mevlana also called Rumi was an Anatolic mystic known for his poems and words of wisdom. You will be seeing pictures from a village located two hours from Konya called Eregli. Eregli is a goldmine and I bet it will be one of the most touristic places in Konya in the future. What a beauty coming from the Toros mountains binding with the weather and nature of Eregli, the result makes you breathless. Just outside of Eregli lies Aydinkent at the end of a canyon and beside a river, the Ivriz, just underneath the Toros mountains. The most interesting thing is that you can find a late Hittite relief in the rocks of Ivriz. According to the history it symbolises the god Tarhundas handing grapes and corn to Warpalawas king of the Hittite town of Tuwana (modern Nigde). Must inform you that you wil see a picture of a school, this school just blew my mind away. It is so old and the colours has given such an essence to the building. I wonder what kind of children went to this school maybe a several hundred years ago. It has a great view even though the school itself is kind of giving up. You will also see a tree where people has written down their wishes and tied them on. This has become a kind of belief, when their wishes are fullfilled they go to the tree and take their wish papers and releace them in the air. During the summer there is fresh water pouring through the mountains down to the surface of the Ivriz mountain. This water is purely fresh and the people from Eregli and the villages around uses this water as drinking water in their homes. Bye Konya, hie Kuluuuuu!
